At Barry Sheppard Oval, the Tweed Coast Tigers AFL Club has proudly developed facilities that support our players, members, and the wider community.

Our Journey of Growth

2013

Ground Perimeter Fencing

The club successful in obtaining a NSW State Community Partnership Building Grant in 2013 to allow for perimeter ground fencing to be installed.

Coaches Boxes

The club self-funded two AFL approved coaching boxes which were installed at the ground in 2015.

2019

Ground Lighting

In late 2015 and 2016 the club was successful in obtaining two individual NSW State Community Partnership Building Grants totalling over $170,000 which together with funding contribution from the club progressed the purchase and installation of ground flood lighting which was completed in 2019.

Change Rooms and Amenities

With funding support from AFL NSW/ACT, NSW State Government and Tweed Council, stage-one of major facilities project was completed in 2022 providing player and umpire change rooms and amenities.

2023

Ground Irrigation

With support of NSW State Community Partnership Building Grant together with club funding support, an integrated pop-up irrigation system was installed.

Electronic Scoreboard

Successful grants applications with the NSW State Community Partnership Building Grant and Telstra Footy Grants programs, together with a contribution from the club, enabled the purchase and installation of an electronic scoreboard.
